Elephant Sanctuary & Aborigine Village
Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, 1 hour and 45 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur, is a base for the elephant relocation team, which began the relocation program in 1974. The team's duty is to track, sedate and relocates elephants from areas whose natural habitats are constantly encroached by human development.
Visitors will enjoy a range of fun activities with the trained elephants at the sanctuary such as feeding, riding and bathing with elephants. Visitors will also visit the Orang Asli village (Aborigine village), which is next to the sanctuary.
On the way, visitors will stop at the Batik Factory to participate in the process of making Batik and the Royal Selangor Pewter Factory to experience the pewter making process.
