Tuna Bay Island Resort is on the western side of Pulau Perhentian Besar (the larger island). It offers a picturesque beachfront setting with sandy beach access right in front of the resort with a range of seafront, seaview and garden chalets.

For snorkelling lovers, you will find that the snorkelling experience is quite decent even just in front of the resort. The waters are crystal clear with good coral life and numerous fishes to see, especially towards the jetty area.

There is a restaurant which serves local cuisine and selected western dishes. However they require guests to remove your shoes which is quite inconvenient. There is no shortage of food nearby including eating stalls, drinks and refreshment stalls which are priced much lower than the resort’s restaurant.

Tuna Bay’s chalets are reasonably spacious. Below are photos of the Family Seaview Chalet which are spacious. There is an adjoining door to another chalet behind should you have a larger family and wish to be adjoining to one another. Bathrooms are modest and clean.

If you want to be closer to the water, there are seafront chalets opening to the beach in front of you. Adjacent to this resort is another resort known as Abdul Chalet which also has seafront chalets fronting the beach. Abdul Chalet is less luxurious with smaller chalets and a cheaper price to match, great for budget conscious guests who also seek seafront position.
